Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav told the press conference that Shreyas is now out of danger and his health is improving continuously.
Shreyas fell while attempting a catch off Alex Carey at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He suffered serious injuries to his ribs and spleen and was admitted to the ICU.

In the pre-match press conference held on October 28, Suryakumar Yadav said:
“On the first day when I got to know that Shreyas was injured, I immediately called him. But he was not available on the phone. Later, the physio said he was stable. Now I have been talking to him for the last two days and he is also responding to my messages. It is a good thing that he is fine and doctors are monitoring him. “
He further informed that Iyer will be kept under the observation of doctors for a few more days, but his condition is stable and out of danger.

BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla also gave an update on Shreyas’s condition.
“Shreyas Iyer is now out of the ICU and has been shifted to a private room. Doctors are constantly monitoring his condition and he is recovering fast. “

During this time, Shreyas has been advised to avoid any kind of physical activity or heavy exercise.
This means that Shreyas Iyer can stay away from cricket for about 3 months.
Once the scan reports are completely normal, they will be able to return to training and fitness routine.
